About Us

Close Up East is a new venture for 2021 that has been bubbling away for a few years but took the time afforded by lockdown to come to fruition.

As a Producer, Emily Atterton has worked in the industry for over 15 years, initially cutting her teeth in a Stills environment before moving into shortform. Emily has production managed and produced campaigns all over the world including negotiating with the Triads to film an i-dent for Sky on their turf in Hong Kong, creating a curry spurting volcano for Just Eat, racing sports cars around the English countryside with the Top Gear lads, training a giraffe to lick a man’s face in Chile for Booking.com, working with both children and boa constrictors on the same day for a mental health charity, dogs, cats, giraffes, tree climbing goats in Morocco (yes seriously!), babies, car stunts, pyrotechnics, drones, boats, rain sun and (alas) snow.

Good relationships, excellent communication and serious attention to detail are always her key focus, ensuring briefs & schedules are met, budgets adhered to, and productions run smoothly and successfully.
